A sinlge philips head screw thru a tang at the rear of the seat accessable with a long philips head screwdriver. Lift up the rear of the seat an slide backwards to unlatch forward locking tab. Very simple.

Also, on my UC I had to remove one of the saddlebags and unbolt the passenger strap. Only unbolted in once, since i trashed it the first time. After unbolting the seat from the fender, lift up the rear of the seat and pull to the rear to unhook the slide from under the fuel tank.
