The stock one under the TP would be my choice. It is very sturdy and is only 4 torx bolts to remove. Takes more time to find the socket than remove it.
I am at work so I cant get a measurement that I need from my streetglide. Does anyone know the radius of the rear fender on a 2016 streetglide? I need it for a part I am making up for my bike rack
I think this is a pretty cool idea! I am a bit concerned about all the weight being placed on the gusset and aft part of the rack (circled in yellow). I feel that a second gusset from the pole down to the forward part of the rack (blue line) would allow the full rack to distribute the weight. I know this will also take away the storage space of the rack itself, but I would hate to read a follow-up post mentioning how a few hard bumps and a little fatigue stress cause the aft part of the rack to break off.

Keep in mind this is a sub 20lb bike and the rack is schedule 40 x 1.25 stainless pipe. There is more flex in the tour pack mount then in the actual rack. If anything would bend or break it will be the tourpack mount.
