Nice! I have the ratchet style on my 1/2 helmets and can snap it and unsnap it with my gloves on no problem. In the winter, or multi day trips, we wear our Pit Boss helmets and I can't (won't), tell you how many times I forget to strap the strap through the D Buckles on it and already have my gloves on! This would cure that for sure, plus all the other benefits discussed. Gonna order a pair right now! Just my opinion, butt the other style just looks too plasticy and cheap to me. Plus I'm already used to the ratchet style. Thanks for posting this @702 !!

These have worked well for me and the wife. Very easy to latch and unlatch with or without gloves. A PITA to get on, but worth it. It takes patience

Every one of our helmets has a Rydewear buckle on it. These things are great.

I stopped being in a hurry years ago.
If you are in a hurry however, the subject of this thread looks like a great little buckle to me.

My Nolan has what they call a microlock fastener. I wouldn't call it quick release as I am yet to be able to undo it one handed as I can with a double D buckle.

Nolan state that the fastener be done up a minimum of 5 clicks which in some respects mean it is not quick do up either compared to just pulling on the strap when doing up a double D buckle.

I very much like the crash helmet so I will accept the fastener.

I did the same as it would pull on my whiskers, I bought a Dayton 1/2 helmet and it has a built in quick release that has the clickable adjustment thingy, not more whisker pull, pull the little strap and it releases, works very well.

rk classic.

This looks like the one that is cut for the strap in the video. Does the strap not pull through that cut part?

We just picked up some Shoei GT AIR II's and they both came with that buckle.
