My wife and I both wear an LS2 half helmet. It has its' own ratcheting strap that works great. We've been wearing LS2 helmets for years.

It’s a little bit of work to feed the chinstrap loop through there to install the buckle. It’s not a very wide cut.

If and when you get the strap installed on the side with the cut, you will understand how the strap won't come out. The strap will lay flat, thats what makes it a PITA, as it is not nearly as flexible from side to side as one would think

Just got mine and it is really nice. Top one is on my Shoei RJ Platinum 3/4 and the bottom is for Mrs Notgrownup on her 1/2 ultralight HD helmet. Installation was a breeze

Same here. A lot of swearing to get installed but once it's on it is solid and no doubt when it is latched. I think I will try the ratcheted one on my next helmet.
