Default Top end chatter

I have a '14 SG. I have been getting a light top end chatter at about 2000 RPM. Doesn't do it all the time. When I get in my garage to check it out it stops. (Imagine that)
Anyone have any ideas??

On early Twinkies it was often clatter from the valve rocker shafts. I put Rocker Lockers on my 01 RK and it quieted them down completely. My current bike, an 06 SG does not make any noise. Luck of the draw maybe.

It very well could be something inside the heads, but just the same, hit that forward engine brace located on the Front cylinder with some WD-40 and see if it goes away... something to try anyway.

Could it be spark knock with warmer temperatures?

That would be great if that's the fix. Gonna take the brace out and clean it up.

My '15 Ultra has similar clacking. From what I read, JTM65 has nailed it; some do, some don't. I may try rocker lockers this winter.

Downshift. Why are you spending any time at 2000 RPM?
