No doubt, the TQ cammed 114 in that RKS I traded in would spank this stock 117. Might go for the PowerCam in this 117 since the warranty is still a factor, but that M8-W22XE cam I had bought for the Road King is just sitting on the shelf begging to be used. Decisions decisions.
I know u are thinking warranty, but dont waste your money on the SE Power cam. I had it installed in my 114, as part of the deal on my bike. Very disappointed to say the least. Pulled it at 2000 miles, once it was broke in and all seemed good. Had a S&S 475 installed, night and day difference.
I had the cam, bearing with installation tool, gasket kit, and had just ordered Fueling lifters when I make the mistake of test riding the ST on a whim. I'm open to offers on any of that besides the lifters.
That's why we don't test ride Mr. Paint. As far as the cam, I don't have enough knowledge or tools to get the job done and feel good about it. I have an indie for these little projects.

Put a little over 200 miles on yesterday during a western Illinois loop with no real destination in mind. I noticed once the odometer past 200, the 117 really woke up as things started to mesh and seat together. Torque really starts to build and feels a lot like my 114 with the TQ cam, makes sense since the factory cam is similar. Seat was comfy too.

Up to around 1300 miles so far, put almost 500 on yesterday alone. Since my last post here I put on SE mufflers about 1k miles ago and broke in nicely, deep tone without being annoyingly loud, might just keep them on and not go aftermarket. Over this extended holiday weekend, I installed Cicada Audio DSP125.4D amp and CH6.5 speakers and even without a flash (which I still plan on doing) sounds great with some EQ adjusting, still trying to dial it in.
I think you will be super happy once you get the flash. The anemic fairing speaks and amp sure do leave a lot to be desired.
I am worried I might go down the stereo rabbit hole, and start looking for saddle bag lids...

I've been dinking around with the dsp and its sounding good, but I know it can sound a lot better. It's super loud and clear, 80mph and I can crank it up only half way before I need to turn it back down. I'm sticking with 2 speakers for now, but I'm sure I'll get that itch at some point.
