i have a 12 electra.. changed out grips and suddenly no left directional.. everything else on switch pack works but directional...
lights flash when turned off, dont think its the bulb? all wires seem to be connected..
thanks in advance
"The bulb" is singular, so if is it just one bulb doesn't work, it is probably the bulb. If BOTH bulbs don't work, it is probably an electrical problem. What is the flash rate of the turn signal indicator? Does it flash at all? Does it flash fast or at the normal rate? When my wife's car was a bit less than a year old, one of the turn signal bulbs failed. With a new bulb, all was back to normal. Bulbs are unpredictable, may or may not be your problem but they are cheap and easy to check and replace. Change the bulb and if it turns out not to be the bulb, you will have a spare when one does burn out.
You say the lights flash when you turn off the bike. Are you in a position to directly see the turn signal or are you just seeing lights reflected off the walls? If you directly observe that turn signal flash, then obviously you are correct, it isn't bulb but something else.
