The local exhaust shop can't help? If ya got a drill press and a proper way to secure the pipe I would get real cobalt bit and drill it out.
The local shop here is talking about welding steel to the stainless and painting it. Not sure if that even works, and I'm not willing to take an exhaust that cost this much and half *** the work. Would a cobalt bit cut it? I was considering a carbide masonry bit and honing the edge to sharpen it and going slow to keep the heat down. Thinking something like an 80 degree bevel on a masonry bit. Issue is holding it steady while operating the press. I'll check out cobalt bits.
That thing... I'm having fueling issues. I ordered a kit but haven't installed the parts yet. Some dude just fixed his with a zip tie! But seriously, I love that bike but it sucks for the longer rides I tend to do. I really don't know what the issue is, but as she sits, I can't get up to 60 on the Interstate, let alone get to the next city.
Lol. Funny guy.
My buddy has a fat boy. Been having issues of it losing power. Went thru everything and had it dynoed. Still issues. Some biker in his garage checked it out and found a bunch rust in the tank and all over the module. Replaced everything and cleaned his tank. Runs like a champ now.

It's a 96 so not really hot, but it's a fun ride. Brakes suck (upgraded PM calipers 10x better than stock) and compared to the M8, the engine runs a lot hotter, even with a tune.
