Hi all, I'm sure this has been asked previously but hay ho.
I have a 2005 Road king European model. It has the full security flasher and alarm system.
I hate the bleeps and alarm going off all the time, I want to remove the whole thing or at least turn it completely off without affecting the bike.
Is it possible to do this on an 05 model or not and if so how. Thanks
Late models you turn on ignition then pull main fuse. Then you can unplug the siren. It's under the left side cover on late models. Can't remember where it was on my '05.
You might ignore everything I suggested since Euro models can be different animals.
Hi Red, Later Roadkings can just be turned off an d removed but not sure about 04 05s. Dealer says it affects the engine management and wont run as it shows fault codes. So im asking for anyone who has done it.
Thanks Ripsaw, Clearly Harley don't want to remove it, I have it set on the least sensitive mode now, but it still squeals like a pig.

Interesting. Mine is probably same one except US. Doesn't have siren. Never had it go off on it's own and it's set in the middle as I recall. Came that way.
Now if I forget to disarm it before I climb on, it will flash when I bring it off stand. Actually, it's all I use to lock it.
Back before 2012, I parked it on the street and locked it but out of caution. It was parked right in front of the guard shack for the drive in gate for Newport News Shipbuilding.
I had a drive in pass but no bikes were allowed. Occasionally I would test them but they always told me no way...
