Default TPMS alarm

I get an occasional alarm on my RGL for the front TPMS, the red light comes on and the front tire pressure reads blank, am guessing a faulty sensor? Was thinking would just replace myself but those things are expensive. Does anyone know if this has been an issue? Is not anything vital but just annoying to see the red light come on.

Did you check the pressure with a gauge? Plus if memory serves its not a red light its a yellow tire symbol. But I could be wrong.

And its a warranty issue, I'd make the dealer take care of it

I've had the indicator light come on before and then go back out in a few miles if all is good.

How often do you actually check your tire pressure cold? I check mine a couple of times a month and then see if the TPMS matches and ussually all good. A trick I was told, not sure if it is true or not, is to let a lot of pressure out and refill the tire to the correct pressure and it can help reset the TPMS.

As for changing them you have to pull the tire off. I have one bad now on my CVO that's in the shop and they are replacing it after 5 years and 45k miles.

That is what happens on my bike, it comes on then goes off in a minute or so with good tire pressure, just happens on the front only is why suspecting a faulty sensor.
Tire pressure is 36 cold.

Actual pressure is ok, on my bile the red light on the speedo lights up and the tire pressure symbol on the tach flashes then clears in a minute or so. If the sensor was not too expensive figured would just replace myself but price list shows you have to buy a pair at over 200 bucks. if continues might just break down and have the dealer check it out as bike is under factory warranty until June 23.

you can absolutely replace them individually. here is the pricing on your bike. not sure why the one is so much cheaper than the other. the ones on my bike are 434mhz.

second the poster above who said have the dealer fix it under warranty. shouldn't be going out already. but, i would try a different tire pressure gauge and up the pressure a couple of pounds. i run 42 rear, 38 front.

Well, of course. That's true of literally any warranty repair, not sure what your point is.

my point is that i agreed with you about having the dealer fix it under warranty as opposed to the op spending his money to fix it himself? i don't quite get the confusion.

I had one go out on my CVO. Took it to the dealer and had it replaced under warranty, they said it was a bad sensor.
