Default map sensor 2006 carbureted

I have 2006 HD FLHX carbureted. Would like some help with carb tuning.
stock ignition, andrews cams (mild) for torque range 1800 to 5500, correlating lifters & pushrods, modified stock pipes (no catalyst), screamin eagle air box w/KN filter, mikuni 42 carb (out of the box, no jetting as of this post). 5120. miles. I cruise it, don't race it or flog it.
Problem; after medium warm up, eninge will not tach over 4000 rpms, boogs down heavily. Engine has to be run for 25 to 30 minute continuos to get past 4000 dead lock.
Question; should I upgrade the ignition modual? What role does the map sensor have now that the mods have been included? I know it is not the engine, bike ran fine before the mods. Was looking just to gain wider torque range for two up riding and steep inclines in the hills.

No need to upgrade the ignition module or map sensor. Just download the .pdf from Mikuni's site, read thru it to understand the jets' and curcuits and adjust as required. I ran a Mik for years and it was a hell of a carb, more work to set up than an S&S, but superior perfomance.
