Default MM EFI to CARB Ignition/Map sensor Question

Morning. I recently purchased a 1998 FLHTCUI Ultra Classic. Bike runs great, and I've even managed to properly set the warm/cold Idle using the latest tech bulletin, BUT, this winter I'm converting to carb. I've read every thread I can on this conversion, but need a little more insight. I'm puzzled because of the six sensors listed in the Service Manual, none of them is a MAP sensor, and I don't see a MAP sensor on the intake/throttle body sensor. I had a VOES on my last 94 Softail, and wonder on the carb install:
1. Will I need to have a VOES system, or MAP sensor to properly retard ignition?
2. What is the best ignition system to run, and are there some models that eliminate the VOES or MAP, though not sure how that would be possible.

Next, I have both the CAM sensor, AND the Crankshaft Position Sensor. The CAM position sensor, "provides engine phase information to the ECM." It is also non adjustable. I assume the Crankshaft Sensor provides actual timing info to the ECM for proper spark timing. With a new ECM harness created for carb using the schematic, and a new carb ignition system:
3. Can I eliminate the CAM position sensor?

Last, I want to use the existing tank, and intend to remove the fuel filter canister, and all the hoses inside, and then cut off the hard tubing coming up from the supply and return lines. I intend to leave the fuel pump isopod and fuel gauge sender. I will use the PINGEL conversion, and leave all the other guts inside, basically to still provide a fuel gauge. So:
4. Is there anything else I need to pull out, or will it give me problems leaving everything inside?

Ok, been working on this on and off today, and it looks like I will need a VOES switch, and have picked the Dyna 2000 ignition. Am trying to read through the instructions now.

Ultima is a Dyna copy for a lot cheaper -

Also, use the VOES for better economy.

Thank you, Joe. I meant I have picked up the installation instructions. I have not made a purchase yet for the ignition system. Thanks for the tip on the VOES.

If anyone is following this thread for future reference, I am going to use the Twin Tec 1007 EX Ignition and set it to Single Fire, and probably pick up the single fire coil at the same site. I will indeed use VOES in the application.

On this swap u remove almost everything that is attached to MMEFI. You need one keyed hor wire for ignition. You DO NOT NEED a harness. Last 2 I have done tossed the vies out. Tank is the hardest part . Getting your hands inside tank and cutting line flush inside
Just be careful u don't cut into tank side wall. I have used and air debuting tool last time and it was a bunch easer
Been using the ultima ign no problems. Copy of 2000 but 150 bucks
