I just removed the ignition switch without any problem on my 2022 SGS , I did this for 2 reasons, to install the acc switches and for a problem I have with the ignition switch.
First, to remove : the wheel straight forward, the **** turned to the left ( acc position ) and then you put in the key and push on the small clip at the bottom of the **** and
the whole thing comes out.
Now as said, I have a problem with my ignition switch, that problem is that it is not needed to start the bike, whatever position it is in, I can start the bike.... anyone else already had this ?
I have this since the bike was flashed yesterday with a tune at the dealer for my J&H exhaust system.

Harley is going to the FOB recognition to allow the bike to start. It is a computer setting now. You bike should not start if the FOB is not detected.
Just like the many keyless starts for other vehicles, as well as Indian motorcycles.
Went back at the dealer yesterday to flash my WHIM and they checked the igintion button "problem" it seemed that my bike got the CVO settings ( no fob ) somehow ??? they changed it back and now
my ignition button is working again and my bike wont start without the fob anymore
