Those Amazon tour packs fall into that category of you get what u pay for. Flimsy cheap plastic and locks. **** poor fitment all for $150. Cant understand why anyone would put that on a $20000-$25000 bike is beyond me.
I guess IMO you cant make a silk purse out of a pigs ear.
I was lucky to find a NEW HD branded "suitcase" with tags on eBay. Evidently, it was given as a gift to a rider who didn't want it and placed it on eBay for quick sale at a low price. The quality is top notch, easily attaches to my Ultra Limited tour pack luggage rack, and has a handle so it can be carried as a suitcase when not on the bike.
The HD banded luggage IS expensive but made well. Had it not been such a great deal I would have looked for a comparable high quality "off brand".....perhaps someone knows who makes the HD branded luggage.

I know in the past SAC was company that manufactured these bags. Not sure if this is still the case.
As far as cheap toupack from Amazon yes this is what my wife is telling me as well. I might consider used OEM or Advance ack one as these seems to be good quality products. Just hard to spend so much money for something I will use 2-3 times a year and yes I am cheap skate 🤣
I have the Kuryakyn version of this bag... works great with the backrest... have had for over 20 years now, still great! I just use straps and bungee cords to hook up to the bike.

What makes. U think that Advan Black is quality, maybe you better read up a little on their quality and also compare dollar for dollar with an HD tour pack.
Penny wise dollar foolish.
Another vote for the Saddlemen BR3400. Ive done 3 long trips with it and its great, I usually put it on my luggage rack behind the sissy bar, have yet to try it in front but it comes with a pad for back support too (dont know if thats been mentioned) lots of room, easily fits a FF helmet, clothes, etc. and cost under $250, which its well worth, IMHO
