what stops this from fitting on the 15-16 model years?

Edit: I was thinking something different. Sorry...
2017 is the first year of the M8 engine. That spoiler is for the newer bikes. My guess is the engine is stopping it from fitting.

I dont know exactly how difficult it is, but I do know its possible and it has been done. Pretty sure I saw it on this site actually.

I watched an install video, seems like the difference is in the oil cooler.

The Hogworkz website indicates it fits 14-22, but there is also a fitment tab lower on the page that says:This product fits

thank you but those are chain spoilers I was looking for the one that attaches to the faring like on the newer cvo.

I don't think I'll fit one one my Road Glide if they make one for my year. But curiosity begs to ask, "how do you access the oil filter?".
