Value for your money the 16 is the way to go. Best sorted 103 motor has the smaller connectors that makes handlebar change a breeze. if you gonna go with a 114 then get at least a 2019 so you get the newest radio.
I bought a NEW 2022 Road Glide Limited in Nov of 22. Reef Blue and Vivid Black. Blacked out model with RDRS Total with Illinois tax and all fees was 38k OTD. Hope this helps.
buy it once, buy it right. if you cant afford what you really want, save for a bit more. i settled on my softail and though its a great bike, i wish i had gotten at least an 07 for the better tensioner/oil pump with the 6 speed. as for my Street Glide Special, didnt compromise. to me, the better radio, rdrs, M8 engine... all worth it. the engine is smoother, more power, plus aftermarket is developing new parts for the engines and they've been sorted out. you can go back and find everyone hating on twin cams when they first came out and saying the EVO is the greatest thing since sliced bread. once they sorted out the few issues, now everyone loves them. same thing with the M8.

Oh no.... not another RG vs SG post. Havn't these opinions been talked about at nauseum? Tell you're friend to get a taller windshield, problem solved. Height of the rider comes into play with buffeting on any bike. Get what you like and ride it! Both fine bikes. I'd also get that wobble thing looked at.
No intention of a SG vs RG thread... My friend with the SG is around 5'7", his seat height is lower than the RG, and he gets quite a bit of turbulence at highway speeds. I'm a bit over 6'2", have the Tall Boy touring (2 up) seat (which moves me back, not up), and was very pleasantly surprised with the smoothness at speed. I thought it was odd that he gets turbulence when I thought it was taller riders that suffer the issue.
On a batwing, most of the problem air comes up between the back of the fairing and the fuel tank, That's why fork fangs work or the wings you bolt on the fuel tank mounting bolt. work so well.
Finally found a bike near me that I was semi interested in. Its a new 2022 BASE model roadglide, black and for some reason a solo seat. Called the dealer up and after talking to 4 different people got a quote of $29,000 OTD! Didnt even bother haggling with the guy. Wouldnt a holdover model be going for much less that? I thought people on facebook marketplace were the only ones smoking crack. Guess I was wrong.
