I love building stuff. I can't afford big sets of actual Lego often. I usually buy the mini Bricks from overseas. I did a soccer stadium earlier this month with 4600 pieces and currently have a castle with 6700 pieces on the way.
My Grandson ( he was 9 at the time) loves building legos bought him the Harley one a few years back for Christmas. Took him like 2 hours to put it together.

Search adult building blocks, car building blocks or whatever on aliexpress. They take a few weeks to get to the US and the pieces are 4mm but thats why I like them. One step could have 25 pieces and the next will be 188 small single Brickss
I started out with the Titanic just for fun. Now i have the white house, Taj mahal, statue of liberty,, soccer stadium, pistol, shot gun, rifles,all kinds of cars, nasa stuff, ship in a bottle, plane, motorcycles,
I chronicle all my stuff and time every step to see how lng it takes me to sort and build. The soccer stadium took me about 22 hours
If you do get some, zip loc baggies are a must. Open their bags and dump in the zip loc. It makes them easier to see and you won't lose ****.
