I never have the chance for long rides as a single dad and i always ride alone. The only thing ive ever carried is an air pump and the tool kit that came with the bike. I really only get to ride to work which is 17 miles so ive never needed anything special

I'm surprised nobody carries a small jug of water. I'd be more concerned about being dehydrated in the boonies over a pocket knife or a jump starter

I keep 2 bottles of water, a couple energy bars at least. It came in handy while we waited for the tow truck in the Idaho desert last year. 3+ hour wait after my buddy smoked 3rd gear in the trans

surprised no one has mentioned a tourniquet yet....Always carry one after after my friend lost his leg and would have died.

hope you never need it but you might save a life. doesnt take up any space....leg injuries are common in motorcycle crashes.
