Default Looking for help on Landing Gear

Hello everyone, I have a 2016 ultra limited CVO. I have been having medical issues which has caused me to lose a lot of weight and muscle mass. Riding the bike is no problem however, slow speed maneuvering becomes very difficult at times. I do not want to switch to a tri-glide so I came across a company that sells a product called Leg Up Landing Gear. I’m looking for someone who has experience with this product and can give me some advice or feedback. I’m 5’8 current weight 140lbs. That’s a little light in the butt for a 1000# motorcycle. Thanks in advance for any help. Have blessed day.

I have come across a few bikes with these on them, the owners really seem to like them. I would ensure that you have a professional install them on your machine as there are electrical connections that need to be made and with the BCM models they are more sensitive to faulty wiring connections and incorrect installation practices.

There were a number of good designs years ago, including mine. None of us survived, except one. The worst of them all, imo. But, that’s how things go.

Having been involved with this work, I can tell you little tiny wheels are the last thing you want. They get stuck in divots, tear off, hold the bike stuck, etc.

You also want a widish foot print, both for stability and for the ability to pick the bike up if it falls over.

Cabinbike is the only other one left in the game, sorta. worth talking to them, imo.

Otherwise, hunt high and low for the likes of Ghost Wheels, or a Retract-a-Trike. Those are far better systems, imo (again).

I have a good friend that has mentioned he was considering something like this.
A few more years and I maybe too.

Thank you guys for your feedback. Very helpful and I learned of other company’s I did not know about. Still giving it a lot of thought. Not ready for a trike yet.

I made the switch to a trike back in 2015, Didn't have a choice, but it's the best thing i have ever done. Don't have to worry about falling over and ending up on someones fender . Takes a little getting used to , but no big deal.

I think you are, trikes are in your future due to your health. Look at conversions for your bike.

I'm getting older and my knees are bad so I wanted to check out this post. I'm going to need something eventually. When I checked these out I wondered about the little skateboard wheels. It looks like it wouldn't take much of a pothole or divot in a parking lot to cause some serious havoc. Looks like the Triglide is still the best bet.
