07 not starting and push starting

Quick, funny story.
My friends and I tried to push start an EFI bike with a dead battery for like an hour in Daytona. We were cussing and sweating etc...just pissed off at the world.
Then some old crusty dude walks up and sez "Boys, you ain't got no juice, you can't push startno EFI bike cause thereain't no fuel pump, no computer, no power, etc etc, no nuttin."
I'm thinking...Duh. I'm a freaking Dumb-as$...[&o]

The EFI is nice compared to carb farts all winter long but I still have an admiration for a simple elemental machine. I would like to get a carbed Softail Night train at some point in the future.

it has to be done in 3rd gear according to the dealer! i was one of the guys with the problem and my fix was tightening the connection on the solenoid wire (the little green wire on the right side of the starter) thell your dealer to take the buss end (plasticend) off and squeeze the connector so it fits tighter on the selenoid than put it back tofeather and add a little dialectic grease for waterproofing! it's worked so far for me others have had the starter replaced at the dealers option!
