I just think it is lousy that you need to load the program everytime you use it. I think it shitty of him not to change the ad to include it. He got pissed at me when I said it should be in the description.
Also makes me wonder the future of the poduct, this is just some guy in his gararge. If his website goes under you lose the product. I thinking about sending it back and getting the twin tec. More money. Problem with twin tec, is I really doubt I would use any of the other features.
It's odd that the program wasn't a true app that could be downloaded given such limited functionality and his ability to lock the tablet himself. That should absolutely be in the ad. I would assume I'm buying a standalone device unless otherwise noted. The upside of going with twin tech is you'll be able to sell if you ever want to to recoup the some if not close to all of the cost difference between the two options.
I may return just cause I though the owner was a hole. He got pissed when I asked could I log on elsewhere and bring it to the garage. You can't it has to be online during the process. He said if you are not spart enough to use it return it. Told he was tired of talking to me. I may buy the more expensive just to not give him business.
My buddy is retured harley mechanic. His shop has metal walls. No sigal inside. Even outside of shop it is hard to get cell signal. My own garage it reaches, and I can do it on floor or my jack. But these city people **** me off.
I don't understand why it needs to be online, and I think it is crappy not to have it in the add. He got pissed when I said it should be in ad. Plus his website goes down in his basement, you are out of luck. Granted its not super expensive.
I didn't orginally get twin tec because I doubt I will use the otehr features. Only thing that would be cool is if you had another fobbed bike if possible to use same fob. But I just bought this bike. Who knows if it will work with next.

It's for simplicity on his end, he only needs to maintain the apps core functionality on his server and then push a limited app to customers that simply talks to his server so that the end user doesn't have app issues that he has to deal with. just guessing.
When I bought the full function scanner for a bmw motorcycle, I got it for one purpose, to reset the stupid service light after oil changes. Bothered me that much. I spent $400 on it at the time, and end up using it multiple times a year just for maintenance and care of the bike, including saving me a couple hundred bucks on what I would have had to farm out to the dealer when I had the abs module rebuilt. You may find the twin tech more useful with time.
With my SERT I thought I would do all kinds of data loggin or such. Never have. Have a code I just go through dash. Taking saddle bag off to get to connector is a PIA. I am not sure if this one is under cover or seat.
I am happy with radio, I always got music on, but not into like some, cause cheap.
If I am reading the manual right, it says to just bleed them like normal, is you are just flushing out old fluid. But if you introduce air into lines or open lines, you need the scanner.
Is that how others do it?
In section 1 it just list order to bleed lines ABS and non abs. which is the same order. But section 2 says to use scanner if working on brakes.
What have I said that is unreasonable?
I said the ad should state you need wifi.
I asked if I could drive the tablet somewhere, login, and then drive back to the bike.
You are always unreasonable. EVERY SINGLE post in this thread has you bitching that there was not enough info in the "ad", so that you don't have to take responsibility for not doing enough research.
That is unreasonable, and why I am not shocked that the guy wants nothing to do with you.
We get it, you missed it. Don't keep posting about it.

Really? Maybe don't read OP's thread if it bothers you so much or maybe you should read because I found his comments helpful in my own search for a scanner so I'm glad this was all mentioned.
We get it, you disagree. Maybe move on yourself instead of attacking for no conceivable purpose. You connected to this manufacturer or something?

Maybe that's true but if you don't like the OP then skip his threads. Problem solved. No one's forcing y'all to be here. Meanwhile when I'm looking for info on scanners, I don't have to get notifications about this thread just to read this type of off topic crap.

You're right, but if you were to rely on the OP for accurate information you won't get it.
