I have the two peice H-D rain suit. Quite happy with the zipper, snap, velcro design. Very well thought out. I only get a bit wet around thethroat where the rain gets in just under my face shield. It includes a detachable hood as well which keeps rain from getting down the back of the neck. The jacket has a high collar that a couple inches or so tall that closes with velcro overlays at the front. The legs have the elastic bands that go under the boot so they don't ride up on ya. The legs have some kind of material on the inseam areaof the legthat doesn't melt from being close to the engine. Legs also have the zipper on the outside up to the hip then velcro layers to cover over the zipper. Wrists contain elastic and the jacket front is zipper with double layer with snaps. Some kind of breathing vents can be opened in the back of the jacket.

I have a two piece First Gear rain suit that has been keeping me dry for a few years now. Both pants and jacket together were under $100.

I have the HD Gore-Tex two piece suit. Expensive but great quality and works great. Should last me till I take the big dirt nap.
gore-tex is the only way to go imho... warm, dry and breathable...

edit - up the NW you might wanna look into Klim Agressive Sledwear... pretty pricey, but of top tier quality... yes i know its snowmobile gear, but it is absolutely the best stuff out there and is designed for riding, longer sleeves and etc. just like a biker would need... worth a look if you want the best...

I used Frog Toggs for around four years through many, many miles of rain here in Alaska and Canada. Others comments on here are right on target....don't get them near the exhaust pipe. After four years they finally wore out so I now have a First Gear coat. Didn't like the First Gear pants so I went to REI and got a pair of really heavy duty rain paints. They don't burn on the exhaust and they zip all the way open on both legs making a really simple to get on even in the rain. And both of them roll up just a little bigger than the Frog Toggs but they still fit in the Frog Togg bag. Just my 2 cents worth....

I have to agree with the others who said that Frogg Toggs Suck. Our zippers lasted about 3 or 4 uses, and they did let the rain in at slow speeds. Ifigured outthat Frogg Toggs are good to get yousomewhere that you can sit out the rain. I wanted something that will keep me dry when I am starting out in a downpour and plan on riding all day.I went with the Tour Master Sentinel. They are a little more but we were heading out for a 4600 mile trip and the last thing I wanted was to be wet, miserable and out $50-60 that I paid for gear that didn't get the job done. JMHO

Two big drawbacks with Frogg Toggs--the first has already been mentioned in that they melt instantly on hot exhaust.

The second is that they have absolutely no reflective material on them, which means you will be virtually invisible if having to dismount your bike in a rain storm.

As a lot here have said, Frogg Toggs are good, inexpensive rain gear. Butt, eventually they leak......... Take a look at a boat dealer & look for rain gear called "Against the Elements". Two piece, medium price, & impossible to get wet in if it's put on correctly.

A good rain suit that I have had good luck with is "Frogg Toggs" They actually breathe well and are very waterproof.
I bought the Road Toad by Frogg Toggs and they do have reflective piping. I also have a nice two piece rain suit that I bought a few years back for fishing. I believe they would melt on the pipes as well.I prefer the Toads because they don't take up so much room in the bags.
