Pretty much the same experience that I had......... Good people and knowledgeable.
I/we are super fortunate in our area to have at least 1 Ohlins factory authorized dealer/installer who is knowledgeable in all things install and setup related - BUT - I will say that I believe the Howards (RIP) and the Kevins (Big Bear) of the world - true suspension technicians who literally fine tune suspension components - are Very Few and Far Between
Any consumer can get on Ohlins dot com and enter your details and the application will direct you to the components for your specifications - point and click and order away, and install per instructions and then - direct you to the how-to setup guide - and by all accounts, that is phenomenal, and the result will be fantastic - but the availability of intuitive artists, knowledgeable, and intuitive/creative technicians out there who can essentially take all the rider details and hand build a custom suspension product from the high end suspension components - like a Howard or a Kevin - are truly hard to come by these days - Consumers can buy parts from numerous resources - but the artisans who truly innovate and maximize the performance of these types of items are much harder to find.
after 2 weeks and my order fulfillment date being pushed a 3rd time j&p is refunding me. i dont have time to deal with that cluster f. ive got a local shop selling ohlins now at a decent price, so well see what they come up with.
their priced at msrp through fuelmoto, figured i might as well buy direct at that point. i figured j&p would have been easy since theyre a known company that should have their stuff together to complete an order. weve got a place called m&m leather nearby that i deal with alot of aftermarket parts and i just saw theyve got legends, ohlins, and pro actions sitting on the shelf at like 10% off so i talked to them to see if they can get the ohlins i want.

I think FM discounts, but it doesnt show until its in the cart due to Ohlins MAP pricing policy. Or at least thats what I recall from a year ago.

Gotcha. FM often has sales, and that is when I snagged mine. I bought them on Black Friday, and you just missed their St. Patricks Day sale. Not sure what the next one will be, but if your deal locally falls through, shoot Jamie a PM and see when they might be on sale again. Good luck!

dang man that sucks. I think I had mine in barely a week from j&p. That's definitely frustrating

is what it is. they didnt give me any crap when i told them to just cancel the order so i dont really have any hard feelings over it. im guessing i wont be able to get a deal on these and ill end up having to order direct from ohlins.
