This will be my second set of Bitubo 13 rears. Ive spoken to the person who sets them up at DK Customs for every order. Seems very experienced and knowledgeable. Plus its not the only brand of rear shock they sell.
They say they get the rears in one spring rate from Bitubo. And beyond that I am getting above my pay-grade. Just sharing whats been relayed. They work for me, and the price and availability are great, so Ill just roll with it.
@gonemad Do you a website or number for DK Customs?
Anybody ever deal with Kevin at Big Bear Performance? After Howard passed, I sent him my front forks with Ohlins cartridges in them and also my Ohlins rears for rebuild/refresh and he seemed to do a decent job with a quick turn around. They sell ALL kinds of Ohlins suspension parts and service. Might be worth a look........
I called Big Bear on several occasions, just to get information and details, and every single time, the phone was handed to Kevin, and he spent time talking suspension with me, with No Stress or effort to sell me anything, ..I would NOT Hesitate to order Ohlins suspension parts from Big Bear - they know what they are doing, and might just be the Ohlins experts for Harleys - be warned - if you call them, you might spend a bunch of $$$ -
looks like im going direct from ohlins on monday. out of the places ive called, the local place doesnt seem interested, been waiting on a call for 2 days, the service center in akron will have to order anyway, the hd dealer south of morgantown wants to sell me the se ohlins, but doesnt know crap about ordering from ohlins. ive checked jp and revzilla, they dont tell you what springs youre ordering and dont have near the selection that ohlins has. looks like direct from the manufacturer it is.

Pretty much the same experience that I had......... Good people and knowledgeable.
FWIW, my local dealer here in Reading ordered and installed Ohlins front and rear shocks on my bike last week, without any drama. They are apparently the only ohlins "authorized service center" in the state, and unfortunately across the state from you.

jp shows a light medium and heavy
Ohlins site IIRC only lists three spring options as well. What is on ohlins site that isn't on jp?
edit: never mind, i see. I forgot about legacy springs
