Thanks!!!! Thats exactly what I went by. I went through and redid everything last night. Just to make sure it was correct. Im just glad to see theyre supposed to be at a slight angle. Ive always thought they were supposed to be level all the way around! Thanks again for the service manual pages.
Well looks like you have your answer. The top of the tubes are tapered, yes. 100% normal. And look that you have them in the tree at the same place I do, as per the manual. But, mine stick up a touch higher than yours. There's a shop here that likes to push them even higher, saying it makes the front feel more solid. I don't know about all that, I like to keep it in spec and adjust the bearings like the manual says to.
