Anyone know what this tube is for? I noticed after I changed out the Cam Tensioners last week, this tube was resting on the exhaust heat shields. I was able to quick-tie it out of the way...

Maybe Fuel tank breather tube , follow it down the frame , if it sits below the swing arm and out to atmosphere , guessing that's what it is .

May be a tube connected to your head breather bolts. Check if your heads vent into the air cleaner or not...

The tube has a 90 deg bend at the carb and is connected to the top of the EFI carburetor...

Thanks guys for the input! I guess in a sense it didn't matter what tube it was but I found it disturbing that it wasn't tied up out of the way from the exhaust. The bike has been "worked on" when I got it so I'm finding a few problems here and there...at least I did get the tensioners replaced last week. Wasn't hard at all, just tedious.

Sorry, I was responding to Rounders who appears to have had his entire message saying something about detectives deleted somehow.
