Default Question about splitting rear turn signal cable

I will try to explain as best I can what I am trying to do. Forgive me about elementary verbiage lol

I have machete saddle bags lights under my bags. They connect to my bike via harness that has two “small” connectors and two “big connectors”. Big connectors go to my rear lights (make and female) and small connectors connect to turn signal connectors.

Now, I added Custom Dynamics saddle bag latches lights. They replace reflectors. They also connect with two big connectors and two small connectors. Lol

So, I can only have one, but not both.

The question I have is, what kind of cable harness do I need to “split” them, so I can have both running?

I hope I am explaining it right. I would take pictures but it’s a big mess with wires. I would think this is common thing since many have multiple lights hooked up.

ETA: I will also have additional light from Custom Dynamics for the top of the tour pack, so, I think I will need something that allows me to connect 3 sets of lights.

Thanks!

You can daisy chain the big connectors, done all the time, example, CD Filler lights and CD Saddlebag lights. Since it's all LED's there isn't a load on the system.

I didn't even think about it! That's great to know. I would hate to have more and more cables in there. So really, all I would need is the "splitter" cable for the turn signal function that @kevin_n posted?

In simple terms and I have done it when converting a bike to a trike is make up Y cables so that extra lights can be added to mudguards in addition to the main central one.

By making a Y that plugs into existing harness with the existing and new lights plugging in on the other side is you can put the bike back to stock.

The true benefit will only be truly seen when something goes wrong and you can remove the additions without cutting any wires.

Yeah, I don't want to cut into wires. I rather just get a plug.

I agree with above on getting the CD harness to daisy-chain. When I switched to CD lights on my '13 King, the load equalizer has a couple of extra connectors to add additional lights.

I just spoke with Custom Dynamics. Very friendly customer service and they were patient with my dumb *** trying to explain my scenario.

I was told I should be able to just daisy chain everything together. I will try that and see how that works.

By the way, I really like those saddlebag hinge lights. They are so bright and clean looking. Very impressive.

ETA: I daisy chain everything and it's all working!

Nice! I have the CD saddlebag lights on my bike, I really wanna do the latch lights too but have a huge fear of drilling a hole in my saddlebag to do the wiring. My wife’s bike is 100% CD lighting and after I put in the probeam headlight I bought for mine, my bike will be 100% CD lighting also. They are a great company and their customer service is the best I have ever dealt with.
