Good Day, coming here to pick your brain. My 2011 Ultra with a 124ci S&S crate engine has been laid up for over two years due to Health issues. I am now feeling better and ready to ride.
I haven't started the bike the whole time and I'm thinking I should remove the plugs and put something down into the cylinders and rotate the engine by hand several times to get some lubrication before I hit the starter.
What are your thoughts on this ? What product should I use to lubricate prior to hitting the starter ?
I would put a few drops of oil in each cylinder. I would also put the spark plugs back in, leave off the spark plug wires and hit the starter for a few revolutions.
