Yesterday I noticed LF1.7 on my speedo while scrolling through the menu. No idea what LF1.7 means? Bike was parked when this pop out while I ride this do not show while scrolling. Seems like has something to do with milage.
My reserve was showing 64 miles range at the time and low fuel light was not on at the moment. It showed up about 20 miles from moment I took this picture.
Low Fuel, you have gone 1.7 miles on the low fuel.
My low fuel indicator (red fuel light) shows when I have about 30 miles of gas left in the tank, then as I get down to about 10-15 miles left my LF comes on in the ODO and it counts the number of miles I have gone since the LF has come on.

what is strange I check my fuel range at the moment and it was 64 miles to go. I rode about 20 miles more before official reserve fuel light came on.
Well there you go on the LF. But of course these ranges are all "estimates" from the ECU.
EDIT: I have the LED left side fuel gauge on my 13 King. Has 6 LED lights and each disappears one-by-one as the fuel is used, as it should. Once the last LED is reached all 6 light up again and the right most blinks, then goes out and the next blinks, etc. Sort of letting me know I'm on my last gallon. This seems to correspond to the Range indicator as well.

Correct And I only know this because I had to look it up when it happened to me.
And these "estimates" are pretty generous. The distance I travelled after mine came on...I should have been out of fuel.

Correct. I've had my 14 SGS SCARY low on fuel before, finally get to a gas station, topped off the tank and find that there is still 1/2 - 3/4 gallon of fuel still left in the tank. That estimated cushion was a welcome find! Mental note to self........

They likely vary a little from bike to bike. My low fuel light (red LED) comes on at about 60 miles and the LF LCD display pops up a few miles past that. I've run it down to about 30 miles range remaining and at that point I would put about 5.25 gallons in at fill up.
As a side note, my range indication is wildly off when full (it says 285-ish miles remaining which is absurd), but then gets pretty accurate at low level. I reset one trip odometer and plan to get gas when it gets to 180-190 miles ridden.
