When I took these pics a few months ago before installation I wasn’t trying to capture a view of the "tongue” but if you shine a light into the exhaust you’ll be able to see it at the front of the baffle closest to the head pipe.

this looks like ripper baffle as there is no holes visible so I bet volume is to your liking as this is loudest baffle they offer

This is not a baffle it’s just a plate with a reducer bolted to end of muffler.

That doesn’t look like any of the three inserts KW sells now for the 4.5” slip ons. How old are yours?
There’s no additional “pipe" extending beyond the round, drilled plate that bolts to the slip-ons on the newer ones.

Actually you are correct this doesn’t resemble any baffles or db reducers currently listed on KW site. None of these are sticking out like one on the picture. BTW is it really possible to bolt in baffle without removing tips. I removed mine but is it required or just recommended?

It honestly never occurred to me to remove the tips on these, but they may be different. I’ve swapped the baffles several times.

My pipe is only a couple months old.
Not sure if it makes a difference but it’s
a 2:1 Out law pipe.
They don’t sell the torque reducer on line.
You have to ask them for it.

So for road trips I run the KW perforate performance baffles in their stock configuration, no mods to the tongue.
Interesting. Do you run two separate tunes for the performance insert and the louvered?

With the least torque and back pressure. Research it, Performance with tongue shows best results, louvered a close second. Ripper loud with least performance. This was direct from KW and my tuner when I was deciding on inserts.
