I myself am a fat bastard at 6'3" 315lbs and the streetglide fits me just fine. I dont feel like those twins from the guiness book of world records back in the 70's ( anyone remember those two?). I did add highway pegs to stretch out a bit more but the bike looks right and more importantly feels and handle's right with a husky boy like me on it !

Hey guys, thanks for the fast replys. I have to decide now if I should accept the dealership's trade in offer, or continue trying to sell my bike myself. I think I am sold on the new 08 SG though.

if you're looking at an 08, no reason why you can't just put it for sale yourself.... if you were looking for a leftover 07 the pickins have become a bit slim in areas so that might be an incentive to make the deal quick, the 08's are just now rollin in, you've got time on your side right now... for sale by owner would be my choice at this time...

I'm surprised all you big guys can stand the rear shocks on this bike. I'm 5' 10", 170# and after a few spine-jarring bumps I changed them out to 12½" Progressive 440's, which are much better. I know, you can pump more air in the stock shocks, but then it rode rough all the time for me.

I am 6'2" and 275lbs and I plan on getting one soon. I have a solo LePera on my softail now & like to sit low so I think I will like it a lot.
I have been riding my friends ultra around alot lately to get the feel for the batwing & other controls.

6'5", 260lbs and have an '07 SG. Afterhaving riden a lowered NT for awhile, the lower SG is no problem. Floorboards take some getting used to, but that is only a matter of miles. Highway pegs are good for the stretching out part. You'll more than likely swap out the windshield pretty fast...to freaking annoying having the wind directed the way it does being as tall as you are. 2" shorter and it wouldn't have mattered. The ride is fine, too. If you're going from lowered Fatboy to this, it'll feel like you're riding on a pillow top mattress.

I'm 6'4" 265lbs....
Don't ride a ROAD GLIDE... You'll Never Turn It Back In!!

Fairing is forward giving you the feel of more room and Frame Mounted (best in wind cutting of any HD) - Better handling in general & a smoother ride then the SG...
