I had a 03 SERK that was lowered in the front. Does the SG feel stiffer than that?

Had my SG since May. I'm 6'5" and 265. I love the bike, but did change the wind "deflector" to the next size up, (6 1/2"?) Made a big difference. Next I'd like to change to floor boards. H-D has a kit that moves them forward a little, 1-2". Highway bars would also help. The seat is a little thin, but it also stays with the looks of the bike. If it had a RK seat, then it would be a RK. UPS brought the Rineharts yesterday, picking up the Thundermax this week. Good luck on your decision.

If the SG ain't big enough, you are SOL. The ElectraGlide models are the biggest HD makes.

Alright, all you guys saying you are a fat guy weighing only a sleek 200 something#, you have no idea what fat is. I own a rk custom. It has the same rear shocks as the sg, and is basically the same bike, minus the fairing. I bought my bike about a year and a half ago. At the time, I weighed 360# and I am 6'1" (So, I win ). I added some highway pegs, which really gave me the room I wanted. I load up the shocks with 33-35 psi, and the ride is great. So, being as tiny (compared to me) as you are, the SG will be fine.

BTW, in that time, I have quit drinking. From 6-7 nights a week, to none. Why do I bring this up? Because tonight I weighed myself. I am at 312#. WOW, it is amazing what stopping the booze will do. I think I will celebrate my recent weight loss with a bottle of **** Creek. LOL j/k Get the SG. It is an awsome looking bike. But, if I was looking for a fairing bike, I would do the eg or ultra, and add the detactables. But, that is JMHO.

6'5" and 250 lbs........no matter what bike you buy.....we larger guys will always look too big on them. For me, I have a 32" inseam and the RK Custom's 12" rear shock allows my feet to rest flat and secure on the road while holding the bike steady at a traffic light. I feel comfortable with the fit of the bike, especially after I installed the Sundowner seat. Riding single, I keep 10lbs. of air in the rear shocks with no bottom out problem and a very smooth ride. 2-up and I increase the air, depending on the size of the passenger, anywhere from 15-35lbs. I agree that prior to a purchase, you need to road test the bike. Make sure it feels good to you.............

Iclick...finally someone my size riding a SG. I'm happy to know that my SG brothers are some big SOB's If ever need someone to watch my back. 5'11" 185 love the Glide. I change the windshield for long trips other than that, probably the most comfortable long distance bike I ever rode even with 2-up.
