heya guys im about 5'5' and was wondering if a street glide would fit me ok anyone out there short like me and own a glide? any feedback would be great thx
Hi,
I'm 5' 6" and love my Road King. There's all kinds of options to help if you need them but I find it ok and better than my last bike - a BMW 1150GS.
Pete
I am also 5'5" and have a SG. I ended up changing to a reach handlebar and a reach seat. This did provide me with a bit more comfort and to be able to can some more footprint on the ground. Ya it sometimes stinks being short.
I am also 5'5" and ride an RK Custom which is same suspension and height of SG. I ride the hell out of it with no problems. When I got it stock I could ride it just fine, but there were times when I had to tippy toe it. Then I did lower it front and rear and bought a Mustang seat. Completely and firmly flatfooted and rides great! You would be fine on an SG.
And that is actually a shame because they are so cool. I'd love some, but I'm sure I couldn't reach them.
It's difficult to find anything for a short person to "stretch out" with.
I am 5'6" and been riding my FLHTCI now for 2.5 years. Corbin close seat, lowered front and back - heavy sole riding boots... Main thing us short guy have to remember (You guy already now this) at best our legs go STRAIGHT down - kinda like a tripod that has a very narrow base - if our bike leans at all - we can get in trouble quick - so we have to be REAL careful when we stop / move by walking the bike - As the rider gets taller their legs can move out more giving them a wider base - make a BIG difference when the bike leans when stopped - So manowar get the bike you want just beware of the "cautions" that we have to work around.... Was going to suggest you ride to Corbin factory for a custom made seat then saw where you live - LONG Ride LOL
Hey Manowar, I'm 5'4 and don't have any problems on the street glide....I wear thick sole boots and have a solow lowering kit on the rear.....Buy it and ride....
