Rode from Texas to California last week and a few times throughout the trip my security light would come on, and stay on. I'd pull over, turn the bike off, start it would either be gone or go out once I hit about 30 MPH. Fresh FOB battery, FOB was in my pocket, any ideas what the cause is and if I should be worried about it on my trip back?
ETA: Bike is 2021 EGS. I found some old posts here about the same issue so I followed that advice, I had a BCM error code #b2161h, also had a scrolling code of PN 41000349F The only thing I can think is that somewhere in Arizona my headlight got hit by something and broke the actual glass lens, lights still work but maybe that's causing it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Don't know if this will apply to your year bike as mine's a lot older, but I had the same problem on a trip. Stopped in at a dealer and they "reflashed" the ECM in order to fix it. No other explanations were given just "it lost a connection and needed it".

Thanks for the reply! that's bizare but then again, it's a motorcycle so anything is possible. Going to call the local dealer tomorrow and see about getting it in, fingers crossed that if they have to do a reflash I won't lose my tune, PV is at home
I had a same thing happen to me in NC. I looked it up and one of the explanations was "most likely electrical problem connected to lights". I checked all the lights, but they all worked just fine. I turned the bike off and back on and the red light went away. I have no codes or anything like that. This is on 2019 SGS
