Passenger Footboard Problems?
I have an 07 Ultraclassic and the 5/16" bolt that secures the passenger footboard to the bike snapped. It seems to me that the wrong size bolt was used. When a passenger is getting on the bike there is a lot of torque applied to that single bolt, and it is prone to snap. If I remember correctly, seems like Harley used to use a 1/2" bolt to secure the passenger footboard on earlier models. Anyways, I took her back to Harley and they replaced it with the same 5/16" bolt. Anyone have a similar problem?

My buddies broke on him also,notice it was a grade 8 bolt might want to swap em out for a stainless steel stronger bolt,also in his case he has the kury pass adj pegs I noticed his wife doesnt use the floorboards to get on bike seems like that is a lot of pressure on that bolt,on a side note his broke in his garage a day after we got back from sturgis,could have been a real disaster if it broke on hiway middle of nowhere..
