Default suspension

I am looking at going from an ultra to a SG. My research says this is not a good idea if you do a lot of two up riding. Which i do. Does anyone have some suggestions for making it a smooth ride. The ole lady enjoys riding, and I would like to keep her comfortable. Am I better off just sticking with the ultra? Was also thinking maybe a low as I am shorter. The I read a lot on losing suspension with the ultra low. They are discontinued so must ne a reason. Looking for everyone's thoughts.

Thanks

Ohlins Screamin Eagle shocks. They're 12" so they're lower, but the reservoir shocks make for fantastic two up smooth rides.

If it's not a good idea, why would you do it?
Asking for a friend.

Aside from suspension, the seat and tour pak may weigh into the lady’s comfort. Were you planning on changing/adding both to the street glide?

Yes the bike I am looking at has a mustang seat and the tour back on it already. The current owner also says it is not a very good two up bike, but he feels it could be. Just trying to see who has tried to change to =e ride and how it worked out.

A lowered bike will never be good for two-up riding.
personally a lowered bike isn’t any good
for solo riding. The wife and I like
The RWD shocks with the HD Spring.
The Fox shocks are nice also.
The Ohlins on my street glide are more for
Aggressive riding.

If the SG still has the OEM suspension then definitely something better makes for a more comfy ride. If you want to keep the same SG stance, a good 12" shock will do. I'm not as tall as most people so I have 12" Ohlins on my King and it has the same stroke as most of the 13" shocks out there. I ride mostly solo but my better half and I are very comfortable when 2-up. A driver side seat mod can also work wonders for getting closer to the ground.

Don't be swayed by some that'll steer you away from a smaller shock. There are great ones out there and there are, well let's just say someone may have tried and decided they were a POS.
