I hesitate to post this, but it’s bothering me. On a 6000 mile round trip via historic Route 66, then back home. On my way through Missouri the tire pressure light came on. I looked at the details and the pressure in the rear said 43psi. I verified that with a pressure gauge. I found a dealer , no thanks to the poi in the Harley nav system. They looked at it and got it to reset after sometime. I road for a couple of more days, detouring through Roswell and Carlsbad NM. Back on Rt 66 in Az close to Death Valley HD the light comes on again. I make it to Death Valley Harley Davidson, talked to a very nice service writer and I believe a part manager. They were willing to get me in and a change the sensor and have me out in 2 hours, but they didn’t have the sensor. The parts manager printed out a list of dealer that had the sensor. I was headed to Laidlaw HD just to pay a visit, but they didn’t have the part, I picked the closest one , Quade Harley Davidson . I rode there asked if they had the part (yes),” when can you get me I “. Their response “ three days from now”. So I purchased the part just to have it in case someone could fit me in. Since I was going to Laidlaws I gave them a call. There response was 2 weeks. I thought as much rode time those guys put in they may be more responsive. By that time I was feed up with California traffic, and 110 degree heat, I just pointed the bike north to Las Vegas. I’m hoping someone can help me out. Sorry for the rant but needed to vent.
As long as the tire is holding the proper amount of air and not going low, I would put a piece of tape over any light saying it's low, and keep on riding.,,
