Bolt Size and Thread Size?

Bolt Size and Thread Size?
Hey guys and gals,
I have a question for you....and that is.....does anyone know, what the Thread Size and the Bolt length is for that little Allen Head bolt, that Holds the Dash Board plate on.....for the Street Glide.
Its located right up front, in the Front of the tank, right underneath the Handle Bar Lock, On and Off Switch.
Its so short and in such a bitch of a location......my Big Hands....just can't get that Bolt lined up with the Treaded hole.
I am looking to get a Longer Allen Head bolt of the same Thread pattern ( Of course ) so that I have a much better chance of getting that Bolt, back in its Home!
The 3/8 bold at the other end.....is way too Short as well!
If the Bolts and Screws were a bit Longer, it would give a guy or a gal a much better chance, at NOT cross threading that Bolt or hole.
I just replaced my Fuel Pump and Filters etc.....and was able to do all that, in the confines of the Tank....but.....when it comes to doing the very last thing, that needs to be done......do you think....that I can get this ONE simple Bolt into its Home?
Its just too Short....to really get a good feel for.....Yes.....I have an Allen Key Extension on it.....but.....it just doesn't want to Line Up, with the Threaded Opening! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr
It....it was Longer.....I could do it that much more easily!
At this point.......I Surrender and GIVE UP!
I admire all the Mechanics out there....with Hands even Bigger than mine....that are able to do all of these very simple tasks.
I just SUCK.....when it comes to anything to do with a Socket or a Wrench or in this case......an Allen Key! LOL
YES.......I already know.....what Size Allen Key that I need.....I have that part figured out.....what I am wanting to know is......What size is the Thread on that Bolt.....and how long is the Stock Bolt, that goes in there.
I am needing to get a Longer one...and I do not want to Strip it....by using the wrong Thread size.
If you can Help me out......I'll greatly appreciate you, for Life! lol
