As I explained previously I have a Harley with a VIN that says it's a Road King but I have my doubts, I'm sending a pict hoping someone recognizes the factory paint scheme, also I don't think it came with a batwing fairing.

I gotta ask ..... Why do you have doubts about the VIN...?? Does it look tampered with?

As a motorcycle manufacturer, the MoCo is required by law to put a VIN on each bike, and follow certain rules about the VIN and it's placement...

Once a bike leaves the factory, there are few enforceable rules about what can and cannot be done to the bike, by the consumer.

While this doesn't guarantee there will never be a mistake with a VIN... I will usually believe the VIN, unless I see signs of VIN tampering, over what color tins, engine, or accessories (like a fairing) that a bike has, when trying to decipher it's original factory delivered condition...

Good luck with your investigation...

I've been told a Road King never came with a factory batwing fairing and the VIN says 2007 but it has a 88ci engine and my understanding is they had changed to a 96ci in 2007. Of course this can be swapped but it is super clean, shows no signs of tampering, if it was done it had to be in a shop , everything down to wire bundle clamps are all correct, to me it looks stock.

Correct, a Road King NEVER left the factory with a batwing fairing, or else it would have been some derivative of an Ultra (Ultra, Ultra Classic, Limited, etc.) or a Street Glide.
As far as I know (having owned an '06 Ultra prior to this '07), all 2007 baggers left the factory w/ 96" and 6-speed, whereas the 2006 models (again, excluding CVO's) would have had the 88" and 5-speed trans.
Interestingly enough, in contrast to some online references from aftermarket vendors, etc. the designation of FLHTCUI halted after the 2006 model year, because carburetors were no longer an option beginning in 2007.
This means that FLHTCU was the moniker carried forward (no "I" on the end).

I'm not even sure a 88ci with 5 speed tranny will fit in a 2007 frame, but that's what I have if the VIN is original

Just to add this is a bike out of Quebec Canada, it has a motor vehicle tag on it from Quebec because it was a stolen recovery and to sell it, had to be confirmed by the Quebec Govt, hence the French tag

I'm starting to get the feeling that vehicles coming from Quebec can have a questionable history!

It’s not a salvage title is it? It could have left the factory as an 07 road king, previous owner(s) could have put in a different power train for whatever reason and added a fairing with appropriate overlay harness, etc for all the gauges and radio. Folks have swapped batwings and made them road glides but they’re still showing as an electraglide or whatever as opposed to a road glide. Maybe check with carfax and see it’s history.
