Default 2007 flhrs

I have a 2007 FLHRS with an 88ci ,carb,5 speed trannny, all posts show it should be a 96ci 6 speed. I may have purchased a bike with an eng swap that I was not aware of although I have been told you could get 88ci with this year ,confused, VIN is 1HD1FY4167Y640163.Any input would be helpful, thanks

Yup, 2007 was the first year for the 96", 6 speed, already had the EFI.
I dont think the 88 was an option!
CVO had the 103"

Check the neck and see the MFG date. If yours is a early 07, they may have put some left over 06's, in the 07 bikes. Check the number on your trans, i believe its the first two numbers, im guessing your will be 06. As Murph mentioned the later 07's were 96" 6 speed and all EFI, carbs were done in 06.

If all the above is true you bought a bike with a complete power train swap. And it's a US market bike, while you're in Canada. Hope it was dirt cheap.

I was satisfied that the swap was made but recently I had a gentleman ,who is a fan of HD history, looking at the bike and he claimed that HD did in fact use the 88 ci in 2007 so that's why I am questioning what I have, thanks for the input.

I have never seen anything about a 88 used in the 07's.
Would like to know the source for my own education.

Post the engine number......

The engine code number in your bike's vin, "4" shows it came with a "1584 ESPFI" engine which is a 96" engine, not an 88" engine... Your bike was delivered from the factory with a 96" engine..

2007 came with 96” and 6 speed. Likewise, carbs were only available until 2006 as an option. If yours has a carb, definitely entire power train swap.
