Default Crossthread adjustable brake arm

Figured I'd throw this out there as an info type thread for anyone in future. I'm in no way affiliated with the company and I didn't get a discount or anything

Crossthread

So far I like this pedal. I'll need to test ride still and obviously I can't speak to longevity but it seems well built. Made from aluminum so definitely very light. Design is pretty well thought out. You can adjust the angle of the brake arm, you can adjust the angle of the brake pad and you can adjust the "length" so to speak by using one of the three mount holes for the pad. Fit and finish seem on par with my thrashin floorboards and the style of the pad matches closely to the floor boards.

For the price and what I wound up with I'm pretty thrilled. Would thrashin be better? Maybe, maybe not. I do wish I could have bought something US made but can't win em all. And I believe options that are fully adjustable like this are pretty scarce.

I bought the black, obviously as seen below, but they have 10 different options including raw. And I chose the serrated peg but spikes are an option. You can mix and match the arm color and peg color also.

Install wasn't as bad as I was expecting with the clevis pin and cotter pin but it wasn't fun either. That was definitely longest step. I think had I removed the Floorboard mounts I could have cleared more space to access but those bolts weren't budging.

These 5 allen heads are how you adjust the arm angle if desired. I just guessed for the first attempt and after putting my boards back on, I like it but might adjust it one more notch down.

The 3 mount hole options seen at the end for the brake pedal. I'm starting with middle but might move to the far one.

everything mounted and tight.

It looks good. I don't imagine quality of the part will ever be a consideration. I'm certain it will continue to work well. I'd only question the long term durability of the anodizing, and even then, the high end stuff fades over time if left in the sun.

@2K10FBLO Looks really good! Adjustability of that arm helps with slow-speed maneuvers and really helps us old folks.

Yup agreed completely with your points

When shopping for floorboards i kinda considered a few different cheaper options as well as all the big players. In the end I went with a bigger brand bc frankly if a board ***** the bed it could well be a bad day. If my rear brake pedal snaps in half I'll likely be OK.

Thanks! Yeah I'm looking forward to the adjustability. Oem pedal I did not care for how high off the boards it was or how far back. My foot sits well underneath the pedal and I would have to slide it outward and then up and over the pedal. Hoping with this one to get it dialed in where I can just lift foot on to it in a smoother motion

Oh two more things:

A- you can adjust everything with the assembly complete. So no need to remove the board to adjust the arm angle or anything.

2- they sell floorboard mounts to push them further out for more clearance if so desired. That will be something to consider once I log miles but even if not needed it's nice to know it's an option
