going to get thundermax for a 06 electric glide standard, do i need the auto tune if i'm not doing any upgrades, will the thundermax be all i need without drilling bungs in my exhaust
You could use the standard T-Max if they have a base map that is close to your build. Like kdietz says, though, for no more than it costs to have bungs installed, I'd go all the way.
jsut came back from the dealer, i want the bungs installed with the 02 sensors but they said i wouldnt need the auto tune, said that was mainly for altitude changes like the mountains ect. This is all new to me just trying to get all the info.....thanks.

Uh, that's bull. The auto-tuner uses the O2's to constantly adjust the spark, AFR, etc. Given the stock tune is a compromise at best, it will improve the bike's performance (and i mean that in more than just hp #'s).
I know I don't have many replies (pick-up my '07 SG tuesday), but I have modified and tuned EFI automobile engines for several years. This kind of dynamic tuning is invaluable for engines other than the 99th percentile that race, obsess, etc.
