If I remember right the system relay and starter relay are the same, do a swap and see if what happens otherwise clean start switch.

 

Mine was doing the same thing you described. One time it would start just find and the next pushing the start button would do absolutely nothing. Slowly and progressively became more often. Turned out to simply be the battery in the FOB. Just throwing suggestions out there.

 

Question, I saw what you did, but even with lever pulled, it did seem it made contact enough to make a difference. Million dollar question, does switch extend some when ignition is turned on? Thinkin of purchasing a new RG. Ty nice vid
