Cruise Control Problem

Default Cruise Control Problem
My riding buddy has a 2011 Ultra Classic and all of a sudden his cruise control has a mind of its own and opens the throttle and accelerates. He has to turn off the cruise switch to get it to stop accelerating. It has also gone into limp mode a couple of times causing him to pull over. He switches off, restarts the bike and it’s good till the next episode. Cruise doesn’t show up a code and limp mode doesn’t indicate a problem that would cause this.

Have him check his speed sensor and wiring/connection to it, may need cleaning or replacing.

We replaced the speed sensor but did not make a difference.

I had issues with left switch that cause my CCnoy to operate but your symptoms are of different nature
