Default Road King Windshield Question

To make a long story short, I had to purchase a new windshield for my 2010 Road King. My question is this; on the new hardware there is a front horizontal windshield base and a rear. One is thicker than the other. Does the thicker go on the front or the rear? Thanks in advance, Rob

it's just hardware I got off Amazon. one of the cross braces is so thick it won't bend. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to bend it or which side it goes on. It doesn't seem right.

Why not use the actual HD brackets and hardware from the old one?

The thicker one goes to the rear toward the rider.

I just bought a spare set of brackets for my Highway King. The thicker one is in the rear and I needed to gently bend it a bit to get started. I put the frame on the bike first then attached the shield to it and it conformed
