Looking for a code. 32684-04
P0371 seems to be related to the cps, but I have three new cps sensors in stock and nothing changes with any swap. I'm scratching my head...
Any help would be appreciated. I'd like to get it out of the shop.
I think 32684-04 is the ICM Part Number, should be printed on the ICM (Ignition Control Module) or
through System ID using Digital Technician.
Once I verify a good, stable 12v source (battery), I clear the code(s) and then see if they reappear. If they reappear, I investigate the code.
If you get the P0371 code to reappear, then I would suspect the CPS is the cause... I would check it out completely, before buying a new ICM..
If you know the new CPS you have tried are good, then look closely at the CPS connector. Make sure there are no dirty, corroded, or bent pins that could affect the signal. I'd also check the wire all the way back to the ICM for possible breaks or bare spots. Once back to the ICM, check that connector and make sure there are no dirty, corroded, or bent pins that could affect the signal...
Also, if it were me, I would test the pins on the ICM, per the electrical diagnostic manual before buying a new one... If you swapped out a known good ICM and it doesn't work, I would be even more suspect of the connectors & wiring between the CPS & ICM....
Good luck with your diagnosis and report back what you find...
