2015 Road Glide with 75,000 miles
So Ive had a pair of DS mounts on my shelf for a couple years. Should have replaced the motor mounts 25,000 miles ago but got lazy. Did a 2,000 mile ride a couple weeks ago and I just had no confidence because of the way my bike handled. Decided to swap the mounts. As soon as I opened the packaging I could see the DS mounts were hard AF. Since I had them and was already half way through the job, I kept going. Once installed I went for a ride and noticed a lot of vibration between 1500-2000 rpm where there was none before. So I went back, and adjusted the torque specs. I had them at the upper limit and went to the lower limit. Vibes lessened.
So my question is this, has anyone installed and after some miles have they mellowed out? I actually think they feel great and idle and super solid at speed.
