I paid $180 for a chopped, backrest, and 2up mount for my 2010. I used to have an '09 with an HD chopped.
The fit and finish looks good to me on the $180 one. I did change the chrome hinges and latch to HD gloss black and added the retractable tether. Honestly I don't see the big deal. I guess time will tell, but I could buy quite a few aftermarket ones for the price that HD charges.

who knew Vivid Black was hard to match?
Cant complain about mu HW TP and paint quality holds as it should. For use 3-4 year it works if someone use it daily I am sure OEM is better. For value for the money HW is winner (so far)
NP and no squabbling here so lets debate as gentlefolk so where we can always agree to disagree where I might suggest that pre 2021? Logic tells me that HW must've had their fair share of paint related complaints and that coupled with a growing onslaught of products produced in China and offered up at ridiculously low price points must have motivated HW's to up their game as they built a brand new paint shop facility in 2021...
Now I'm not saying their painter can't have a bad day but I am saying that HW concluded they needed to up their game in the paint dept. and they did. I'm also saying that the vivid black on my HW King TP is a perfect match in color and looks like wet black glass everywhere I look.
