I like the new style. Both the Road Glide and Street Glide look way more aggressive with the new fairings. While I'm not in a position to buy a new model yet, I'll really start looking into it once the Ultra and Road Glide Limiteds get the new bodywork.
I agree. I did not see anything I liked to add to my garage and am now looking at the Kawasaki Z900RS Cafe as a 2nd bike. HD is shooting themselves in the foot with those high prices!

Youve just saved me some money with that statement. I was sitting her scheming on how to trade my way into a new Road Glide. But my last two Glides (Street Glide and Road Glide Special) I unintentionally converted into dressers by adding tour paks and lowers. I figured next time, why dont I just buy one like that from the factory. Id much prefer to wait for the new styling for those.
who the hell are they trying to appeal to? certainly not me. most likely i already own the very last harley i will ever have. bikes are getting hideous and way too expensive. even if the new bike were half the price they are asking i still wouldn't buy. looks like next time around BMW might finally get my money.
At half price? Yeah, I be at the dealer to buy this one right now!
ah, in other words, you don't know. you're basically admitting to 'it's new, so i don't like it'
Nah, the reason that I do not offer to you what a classic dresser might be is because I do not want to participate in crawling off into the weeds so that each point might be discounted and argued ad inifinitum. That is an old ploy that is totally fruitless and frustrating.
A classic dresser is totally obvious just as a beautiful woman is totally obvious, but each point of her beauty can be argued until a fist fight breaks out.
I will avoid that.
If you like stripped down, blacked out, un-colored, high electronic tech featured motorcycles, with a lot of plastic, then go at it. I have not challenged you on your preference, so do not challenge my preferences. Don't be insecure.
Every time I purchased a new Harley I fell in love with it. I would love to get one of these new ones (except the baby blue) but my 20 RG is just the way I like it and only has 30K on it. As far as adjusting points, my 64 Duo Glide had dual points and spring loaded retard distributor (stock retard was on the left hand grip). It also had solid lifters (after market) that had to be adjusted every 10 minutes. That's just the way it used to be. We have come a long way. These new bikes will go 100k miles and last for years if you take care of them. Yes they are expensive, but what isn't. I can't wait to test ride a 121
Really.... if someone doesn't like the new bikes or the direction HD is going, they are soft...?? What does that make you, a Koolaide drinker...???
There are sure a lot of people in these new bike threads hammering on people who don't agree with them... If someone disagrees, or God forbid rides another brand of motorcycle, that doesn't make them the "enemy".....
A forum is supposed to be a place where ideas are shared, and discussed. I do not see the need to put down someone who doesn't agree with me/us/our opinions..
The lost art of being able to agree to disagree, needs to make a comeback...
I have no intention of trying to force my opinions on other people, any more than I want someone else to force their opinions on me...
For the record, labelling someone with a derogatory name because they have a different opinion DOES NOT give any more weight or credibility to your opinion... Just saying...
That is all... carry on...
PS- the new fairing reminds me of Gort..... Not that there's anything wrong with that..
