After seeing a couple of the new bikes in person yesterday, I'm really digging them, especially the RG. I like the simplification in the product line, and the updates make sense to me. I especially like the fact that they moved to the 117.
It's weird how when the '23 CVO's came out I was underwhelmed, and I hated the new RG fairing. For some reason it looks better now on the new bikes, can't put my finger on it. Even the contours of the bags fit with the overall style and the bike looks aggressive. Jury's out on the new seat, but I like the taller/straighter bars. However, I just bought my '23 ST in October, I'm very happy with it and have plans for it.
If I was a CVO buyer I would absolutely choose the white ST for 2 grand less than the regular CVO. Not even a contest.
same here, and now seeing the 24 RG is $20,000 less I think I put my finger on what it was
The Street Glide is acceptable sort of, not awful. But thin metal only one hinge of the bags, no android auto, a big screen which will be a deathstar glare generator. The road glide looks like a goldwing and an Indian had a 3 way with BMW and the kid had a birth defect. Gawd, that thing is UGLY.
I have to agree 702, from what I've seen so far, they did a great job with the RG/ SG...I was a little disappointed with retaining of the 114ci motor in the LTDs but probably means a total refresh for 2025...
Not that I'm in the market this year but I have to agree with brad...lots disappointed that the Ltd's didn't get the refresh & bigger motor. I'm predicting that there will be a mid-season, new release for the 2-up, Ltd's. Doesn't make sense that they wouldn't put the bigger motor in the 2-up bikes that are "hauling the freight". And haven't they always had at least one 2-up CVO? My guess is they need a new Tour-Pak to go with the new front ends and don't have it ready yet. Hence releasing the 2024 Ltd's a few weeks ago already.
And pretty cool as well that the CVO's are being shipped with Cardo Edge comms. This tells me they will seamlessly integrate with the new headhunts with no need for the silly WHIM.
I'm really liking what I see...if I was in the market.

What do you mean "only one hinge of the bags", is there supposed to be more?

Yup...took several pics of the CVO ST in white, for our website and that thing is Stunning!! I want to rewrite my mortgage...
Everything else you mentioned above is spot on as well...

.
in the new product listings, there is a cardo freecom 2x, freecom 4x and edge that will be available. the whim is not needed for pairing, but it is unknown at this time whether the hd version has been crippled in some way. the new headunit also has wireless carplay, a subwoofer output, and a built in equalizer. but only comes with 5.25 speakers in the fairing.
android auto missing is not on hd. google did away with that. but, i've read where there is an app to replace it. but can't swear to that as i'm an iphone guy..
I havnt been impressed by much since the introduction of the M8 engine. Everything after that has just been Roadglides and a few other Harleys that look like Indians. There are 2 things at the moment that do excite me though...
I love that all digital display on the Street Glide. Im a little late tot he digital instrument game (I JUST bought my first car with a total digital package last month)....That all digital dash has so much potential. I hate digital distractions on a bike and feel no need for stereos or phones while riding, but man there is so much that can be done once you go full screen like that.
Im also really excited about the new Sportsters. I was reading the HP/TQ numbers last night......looks like the Sportster Sport has as much power (or slightly more) as last my cammed and dyno'd twin cam 88. I regret selling my 01 Sporty.......I may need to look at a new one.
